1. First of all, you have to use magazines or specialized sites ( like this:) ) as an inspiration source. You can find refreshing ideas in magazines and specialized sites, ideas that can be perfect for what you want for your living room.
2. Use furniture with varying heights. This can create a homely effect and can also add interest to your living room.
3. You have to revitalize furniture and curtains by using fringing and/or borders.
4. Make lighting combination in your living room, at different levels. I will advice you to use many lighting sources: a chandelier, a table lamp and even a floor lamp.
5. Choose the right curtains for your living room. The curtain must be in harmony with all your living room components. Use the right fabric and color to fit perfectly with your space.
6. Make sure that you are all the time up to date with what is new in decoration. That’s why, you have to modify and make changes to your living room accessories all the time.

Lol you don’t have to do anything.
Also look over what you write before you post things. This is generally a good idea since some of your sentences aren’t proper.

I do not want a homely effect for my living room. Perhaps you meant homey?

wow, what terrible advice. 2-5 are all sound, but no, you do not NEED to read this dude’s magazine to get ideas, and you do not constantly need to buy new furniture to stay “up to date”.
you also forgot one pretty key point. Find a color you can use as a theme. It doesn’t have to be a major color in every piece, but pick something who’s major color is one you like, and try to pick pieces which have that as a major or minor color in it. mixing that up is good. Say you have a rug with 5 colors in it, and your favorite of those is red. Paint one of your walls that red as an accent wall. Then find some throw pillows for your couch with some red accents, and maybe some art with red in them. You don’t want it to be overwhelming, but subtle.

I welcome those tips.
If people know so much why get ideas?
Why can’t some of us just take things for what they are and not tear each other to shreds.
Everything might not necessarily pertain t you but I’m sure you could use at least one idea from the list.

I would be grateful if you could provide me some information concerning the yellowish couch that appears in the six steps to a perfect living room.
I am wondering if I could order it but there is no available info on the site
thank you
